Born and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, I still consider myself a "Jersey Girl", even though I have not lived in the state for 25 years! I moved to Woodstock, IL in 1997 with my husband Keith and our three children and we are thrilled to call Woodstock home. I love to read and one of my favorite pastimes has been visiting bookstores. I feel truly blessed to have brought Read Between the Lynes to the Woodstock Square to share my love of literature with the community.
A retired teacher, Leslie un-retired after two weeks and joined the RBTL staff on opening day. Seven years later, she’s still enjoying the customer contact…especially the kids, and the occasional dog. An avid and constant reader, Leslie can offer great book advice for any customer. And if you’re looking for a particular title, she’ll find it for you…whether we have it in stock or not. Leslie lives in Woodstock with her husband Larry. She brings him self-improvement books, but he says you can’t improve on perfection.
Born and raised in Illinois, I've lived the last seven years in Woodstock with my wife and two children. After working for many years for police departments, I decided to become a stay-at-home dad. I've always been an avid reader and writer and when I'm not taking care of the kids, reading, writing, working or working on my house, I enjoy biking and watching movies. While I love fantasy, I read a wide range of genre fiction or as I tell people, I tend to read books from the front half of the bookstore.
Born and raised in Woodstock, Rachel ventured to warmer climes for college. She recently graduated from Tulane University with an English degree, or as she likes to say, earned a very expensive piece of paper that says she likes to read. She particularly delights in escaping into books with a fantasy element, though she also enjoys the occasional foray into other genres—including acquiring a taste for non-fiction. When not reading, she can usually be found yelling about whichever sports team is currently playing.
Originally from Minnesota, I traveled over fourteen hours to arrive at my new forever home in Woodstock, IL. It was explained to me on my very first day that I would be the new mascot for Read Between the Lynes.
I quickly learned that I had some big paws to fill, as my older sister Mia, was a community favorite. I can usually be found behind the front counter resting up for my next visitor. When I am not at work, I can usually be found at home terrorizing my big brother Apollo.
