Born and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, I still consider myself a "Jersey Girl", even though I have not lived in the state for 25 years! I moved to Woodstock, IL in 1997 with my husband Keith and our three children and we are thrilled to call Woodstock home. I love to read and one of my favorite pastimes has been visiting bookstores. I feel truly blessed to have brought Read Between the Lynes to the Woodstock Square to share my love of literature with the community.
I’m a city girl who unexpectedly fell in love with Woodstock’s small-town charms and as a result, became a resident. As a lifelong bibliophile, indie bookstore fan and frequenter, I’m thrilled to have found a home with Read Between the Lynes. I can often be found snuggled on my couch with my best canine pal, a cup of peppermint tea, and of course, a book.
Woodstockian through and through
Full of Girl Scout derring-do.
Who can strum loud and gaily
On her ukulele
And recommend poetry, too!
As the youngest member of the famous Lynes family, I am proud to be back in my hometown of Woodstock, Illinois after living in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado. Although I am enthusiastic about fitness and nutrition, I am also a connoisseur of the goodies on the “food side” of our store, and always ready to recommend some candy or make you a delicious milkshake!
When I was looking for a town to move to a few years ago, my requirements were a Starbucks and an independent bookstore. When I visited Woodstock and saw Read I Between the Lynes, I knew I'd found my new home. And now I've gone from a happy customer to a happy bookseller.
Born and raised in Woodstock, I’ve come to love this delightful town with all my heart. I’m a senior attending Woodstock High School and can’t wait to see what is in my future. I hope to attend college to earn a degree in Occupational Therapy and Spanish. I love getting lost in any wonderful world that books have to offer. If I’m not at school, work or sports I can be found snuggled up with a good book and a warm blanket.
After finishing up my schooling at NIU, I’ve recently moved back to Woodstock. Though I grew up in Iowa, my heart has belonged to this town since I originally moved here during my high school days. A lover of anything Sci-Fi or Fantasy, I consider staying in on a Friday night reading to be time well spent. When I’m not at the store or reading in my off time, I teach English in town at Marian Central.
