Born and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, I still consider myself a "Jersey Girl", even though I have not lived in the state for 25 years! I moved to Woodstock, IL in 1997 with my husband Keith and our three children and we are thrilled to call Woodstock home. I love to read and one of my favorite pastimes has been visiting bookstores. I feel truly blessed to have brought Read Between the Lynes to the Woodstock Square to share my love of literature with the community.
I’m a city girl who unexpectedly fell in love with Woodstock’s small-town charms and as a result, became a resident. As a lifelong bibliophile, indie bookstore fan and frequenter, I’m thrilled to have found a home with Read Between the Lynes. I can often be found snuggled on my couch with my best canine pal, a cup of peppermint tea, and of course, a book.
I'm a transplant who fell in love with a Woodstockian and his town, so much so that I both live and work on the Historic Woodstock Square. When I joined the team at RBTL my husband said I couldn't spend my entire paycheck on books, a tall order since two of my passions intersect here- books and supporting small, local businesses. I'm an avid reader, devouring novels from all genres, memoirs, and lots of non-fiction. Stop by- I'd love to talk books with you!
As the youngest member of the famous Lynes family, I am proud to be back in my hometown of Woodstock, Illinois after living in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado. Although I am enthusiastic about fitness and nutrition, I am also a connoisseur of the goodies on the “food side” of our store, and always ready to recommend some candy or make you a delicious milkshake!
Born and raised in Woodstock, I’ve come to love this delightful town with all my heart. I’m a senior attending Woodstock High School and can’t wait to see what is in my future.I hope to attend college to earn a degree in Occupational Therapy and Spanish. I love getting lost in any wonderful world that books have to offer. If I’m not at school, work or sports I can be found snuggled up with a good book and a warm blanket.
When I was looking for a town to move to a couple of years ago, my requirements were a Starbucks and an independent bookstore. When I visited Woodstock and saw Read I Between the Lynes, I knew I'd found my new home. And now I've gone from a happy customer to a happy bookseller.
Born and raised in Woodstock, I’ve lived here my whole life and I wouldn’t change it for any other town. I’m a recent GED graduate and planning on going to McHenry County College for my general arts degree. I’ve always loved the idea of working at a café, so I was thrilled to be part of the team when I was hired as a barista at RBTL! A year and a half later, I’m still here and making a mean latte.
Woodstockian through and through
Full of Girl Scout derring-do.
Who can strum loud and gaily
On her ukulele
And recommend poetry, too!
